Hiking Trips in AustriaWhen many people think of the Alps, they often think of the Swiss Alps first. The Alps, however, extend across a number of countries, and are just as breathtaking in Austria as they are in Switzerland or Italy. Hiking trips in Austria are equally popular among people who know the area, and Alpine Trails is proud to offer hiking through the Austrian regions fondly referred to as "the other side of Italy." Sud Tirol Hiking TripsSud Tirol (South Tyrol) is known for its hikes and treks, as well as climbing. Sud Tirol hiking trips often explore the Dolomites. To discover the true beauty of the area, however, Alpine Trails recommends a small group trip to some of the lesser known, but arguably most beautiful areas. Alpine Trails' Austrian Hikes At Alpine Trails, our hiking trips in Austria take guests to Vent, a tiny village that lies at the head of Austria's Oetztal. It is the highest year-round destination village – surrounded by mountains, but full of trails carved at user-friendly angles, allowing for easy exploration of the area. Walks in the region include climbing huts, the Panorama Weg, and the Mutbichl – a favorite of Alpine Trails for its spectacular view of the high peaks. When you're not hiking, feel free to enjoy the hotel spa, and the nearby area of Soelden with its shopping possibilities, mountain lifts, and more. Small is Beautiful We believe small is beautiful – small group trips through the large landscapes of the Alps. We have found a comfortable niche consisting of active outdoor people who also appreciate a high level of creature comforts and exceptional dining while on the trip. We don't like a lot of hype, but with a repeat ratio that averages 80% – 90%, our trips really speak for themselves. Hundreds of our guest have volunteered to be used for references, and we'd be happy to put you in touch with some of them. Whether you're interested in Austrian or Sud Tirol hiking trips or somewhere entirely different, we encourage you to continue browsing our website for additional information, or feel free to contact us with your questions or comments. |
